THQ Nordic GmbH (formerly Nordic Games GmbH) is an Austrian video game publisher that was founded in 2011. It's core portfolio comprises of products and brands acquired from JoWooD Entertainment, DreamCatcher Interactive, and THQ, making it the current owner of the Darksiders Series.

HistoryEdit

On August 16, 2011, the company announced that it had acquired assets from JoWooD Entertainment, including The Adventure Company. Following this acquisition it was announced that JoWooD and the The Adventure Company would become publishing labels for the company.

In April 2013, Nordic Games acquired the remaining assets still owned by THQ as part of the company's liquidation. it acquired the Darksiders, Red Faction, and MX vs. ATV franchises. The company later stated that the Darksiders series would continue with a new installment to yet be announced.

They were the publishers of Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition (2015), Darksiders Warmastered Edition (2016) and Darksiders III (2018).
